RailMount NavPod

RailMounts are comprised of a NavPod that rotates on a Stainless Steel arm designed for mounting on the side of a pedestal guard.

RailMount NavPods are best used for mounting of an autopilot control, sailing instrument, or small chartplotter onto an existing pedestal guard. Fits onto any 1″, 1.125″, or 1.25″ diameter tube. A Stainless Steel arm is used to mount the NavPod housing. The NavPod can rotate 180 degrees for easy viewing while sitting under the dodger on a rainy day. All wiring runs from the NavPod, down the center of the stainless steel arm (available space is 0.75″ inside the narrowest part of the arm, so keep this in mind for planning your cable run; most transducer cables will not fit through the arm), and into the pedestal guard. This application provides a clean and sturdy installation for electronics, without replacement of the pedestal guard.

RailMounts are designed for all popular standard size instruments, as well as 7 and 9 inch chartplotters.

Is there a RailMount NavPod pre-cut for my Radar/Chartplotter/MFD, wind/depth/speed instrument, or autopilot control display model?

Pre-cut RailMount NavPods are available for most MFD models from major marine electronics manufacturers between 7" and 9” (and some 10”) screen sizes, and most small instrument displays (wind/depth/speed displays and autopilot controllers). Use the dropdown boxes above to find and select the EXACT manufacturer and model of the display you’re installing, then click “Search NavPod” to find the matching pre-cut NavPod(s).

You can use the dropdown boxes above to select the manufacturer and model of your display, then click "Search NavPod" to find the matching pre-cut NavPod. Be careful when selecting the display model to make sure it matches your display model EXACTLY, since some display models have very similar names and part numbers, but utilize completely different cutout shapes.

Is it okay to pick a display model from the dropdown list that is similar to the display model I’m installing, even if it doesn’t match exactly?

NO! It’s important to make sure the display model you select from the dropdown list is an EXACT match for the display model you’re installing. Some display models have very similar names and/or part numbers, but utilize completely different cutout shapes. The difference, presence, or absence of one word, letter, or number in the model can indicate a completely different display with a completely different cutout.

For example, a Garmin ECHOMAP CHIRP 74cv has a different cutout than an ECHOMAP Plus/UHD 74cv, which has a different cutout than an ECHOMAP UHD2 74cv, which has a different cutout than an ECHOMAP UHD2 74sv, which has a different cutout than an ECHOMAP UHD2 94sv. The differences between CHIRP, Plus/UHD, UHD2, or between “cv” and “sv”, or between “74” and “94” ALL result in different display models with different cutouts. Similar small differences exist for many other displays models and manufacturers (Raymarine Axiom vs. Axiom Pro, B&G Zeus S vs. Zeus 3S, etc. etc. etc.), so be sure to find an EXACT match for your display model.
