RailMount NavPods are best used for mounting of an autopilot control, sailing instrument, or small chartplotter onto an existing pedestal guard. Fits onto any 1” or 1.25” diameter tube. A Stainless Steel arm is used to mount the NavPod housing. The NavPod can rotate 180 degrees for easy viewing while sitting under the dodger on a rainy day. All wiring runs from the NavPod, down the center of the stainless steel arm, and into the pedestal guard. This application provides a clean and sturdy installation for electronics, without replacement of the pedestal guard.

RailMounts are designed for all popular standard size instruments as well as 7 and 9 inch chartplotters.

Structural Rigidity – The Gen3 enhancements now include a thicker gauge acrylic capped ABS material that improves strength and provides better structural rigidity. This thicker material allows for a larger waterproof seal. The better the structural rigidity, the less flexing when tightening and more uniform pressure on the seal. The excellent UV stability of the acrylic is combined with the durability of the ABS. The acrylic cap protects the ABS from UV and its potentially damaging effects on plastic.

Waterproof Seal – All RailMount NavPods are manufactured with a double gasket system providing an excellent watertight seal. This seal provides the best protection of your Marine Electronics. NavPods are made to withstand the harshest wet offshore boating conditions. Gen3 enhancements include a thicker external silicone gasket with improved flush fit. The internal Poron Microcell Polyurethane gasket is now 50% thicker and is not subject to “compression set” like many rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the NavPod in the future in order to service your electronics. The gasket will continue to do its job.

Nickel Chrome-Plated Stainless Steel – We use all 316 stainless steel hardware that is supplied with each NavPod. Large round-head tamper-resistant screws have deeper sockets for the NavPod wrench for better holding ability when tightening than screws used on our Traditional Series NavPod. The Nickel Chrome-Plated Stainless Steel tamper-resistant screws provide security combined with a little style!

Commitment to Quality – We stand behind our commitment by offering a 10-year warranty on all new Gen3 NavPods.

PED4800-12-C

PedestalPod 45° models conveniently position displays 20″ off the deck, located near the bow and at a 45° angle for ease of viewing while fishing. This allows anglers to easily reach and access the fishfinder/chartplotter for changes to range, zoom or even to control the trolling motor. Designed to resist impacts, vibration and moisture ingress, 45° PedestalPods are crafted with a thick gauge, UV-stable acrylic-capped ABS material and are built specifically with structural rigidity in mind. Built on the proven technology of NavPod’s popular range of PowerPods, 45° PedestalPods are also manufactured with a double gasket system that provides an excellent watertight seal to keep spray off electrical connections, ensuring the reliability and longevity of marine electronics.

Displays are easily installed in the pre-cut face of the NavPod. The heavy duty, powder coated aluminum pedestal tube is 3″ in diameter with a 5″ round base and has a large 1.75″ opening, providing plenty of room for running and concealing wires internally for a very clean look. PedestalPod 45° models give protection for wires and connectors from water intrusion, UV exposure or damage from snagging and ripping connectors out of their sockets.

Pre-cut models are available for 7″ to 12″ displays from all major marine electronics manufacturers.

PedestalPod with RAM Mounts are specifically designed for mounting the fishfinder near the bow on sportfishing boats.  Built on the foundation of NavPod’s popular range of waterproof housings for marine electronics, PedestalPods position your fishfinder/chartplotter at an easy to reach 20” off the deck. This allows the user easy access to the display for changes to range, zoom or even control the trolling motor. There is a big difference between reaching down to a height off the deck of 20” to control your fishfinder compared to reaching all the way down to the deck when it was only bracket mounted.

PedestalPod with RAM Mounts are manufactured with a double gasket system that provides an excellent watertight seal. This offers protection of your fishfinder/chartplotter from the harshest of wet boating conditions.  This protection assures reliability and longevity of your marine electronics.

The PedestalPod with RAM Mount utilizes the proven RAM Mounting system with the large 2.25” rubber “D” size ball, two cable manager base platforms and the DuraSafe Key Lock security solution. RAM Mounts are designed with a patented rubber ball and socket system that allows an almost infinite amount of ways to position the angle of your fishfinder or chartplotter for an adjustable and precise position for viewing.

NavPod’s unique stainless steel tamperproof fasteners and the DuraSafe Key Lock security system are combined to allow you to leave electronics on board the boat without worry. Mount it on any surface angle and protect your electronics on all sides. The PedestalPod with RAM Mount Series combines the best attributes of two very popular product lines from two very focused companies providing mounting solutions for your marine electronics.

When you might be trailering or storing the boat, the display can fold flat onto the deck with only 10” of clearance.  This will allow most boat covers to fit over the PedestalPod with RAM Mount when not in use.

Your fishfinder is easily flush mounted into the pre-cut face of the NavPod. There are pre-cut models available for 7”, 9” and 12” LCD displays from all major marine electronic manufacturers.
